We richten ons op lichaamshouding (‘uitlijning’), het voorkomen van blessures en het creëren van innerlijke ruimte. In onze lessen en workshops besteedt u tijd aan het denken over en voelen van uw fysieke, emotionele en mentale lichaam.
Welcome to Practicing Somatics where you can delve into the richness of your body. Our holistic approach to movement encourages a use of the body which brings comfort and ease. We focus on body alignment, injury-prevention and the creation of space within. In our classes and workshops you spend time thinking about and feeling your physical, emotional and mental bodies.
Finding Stability- Pilates Alignment
This class in based on Pilates, drawing also from Experiential Anatomy and Somatics. This class focuses on exercises that strengthen core stability and enhance the participant's sense of his own postural alignment.
Finding Length- Yoga Alignment
Finding Length is a yoga class based on a soft version of Primary Series from Ashtanga Yoga, bringing relaxation and restoration to the body while simultaneously strengthening and lengthening.
Finding Stillness- Meditation & Mindful Movement
These classes combine Zen meditation and gentle mindful movement. We learn to stop and listen to the body.
Finding Compression- Training in Thai Massage
There are various workshops organised in this series, to train participants in the healing art of Nuad Boran.
Contemporary Movement Practices
In this course we approach the body as a means for movement explorations. We work through sensing and perceiving: weight, breath, movement.
Creative Movement for Kids
These dance classes are about having fun, finding pleasure in movement, developing creativity and self-expression. Children are taught to recognise emotions in the body and how to express them.
