
Natalie Heller is a choreographer, movement educator and Thai massage therapist. Her interest in the body has led her to explore different methodologies of movement. She is interested in how the body works and in finding techniques that enable a healthy ‘use’ of the body through developing body awareness. Her practice is influenced by methods such as somatics, creative practice, Ashtanga Yoga, Pilates, Thai Massage, Body Mind Centering, Contact Improvisation, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique and Simonson Modern Dance, all of which she has extensive training in.
Dance: She has been trained in some of the top schools in New York (Dance New Amsterdam, Movement Research), London (Laban, Siobhan Davies Studios) and Montpellier (EPSEdanse). Her choreographic work has been sponsored by institutions such as Amsterdam Fonds voor de Kunst, L' institute Francais, Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture. She has been teaching dance and movement techniques to adults and children since 2006.
Thai Massage: She received her Thai Massage training in New York at the Two Souls Institute in 2008. Since she has traveled to Thailand for further training in specialized conditions such as back and shoulder problems, migraines, stress, and indigestion. Here she also trained in self-massage and anti-aging facial massage. She has followed coursed in Ayurvedic massage and nutrition as well as in numerous therapeutic movement techniques. She has been treating patients since 2009 and started teaching massage training workshops in 2010. She has taught workshops in England, Turkey, Cyprus and The Netherlands.
