Mum & daughter Pilates

Movement and attention to posture is crucial at every point in our lives but even more so in the period of adolescence when movement and postural habits are being established. 
This course is for health, fitness and relaxation but equally for the chance to connect with your daughter in a new and different way. As well as working individually, we will also work in pairs (so some exercises together with your daughter) working on strength, posture and flexibility. The class is fun as well as challenging. We work in a way that encourages connection, communication and trust. 

We focus on exercises that strengthen core stability and enhance the sense of postural alignment.
We use big Pilates fit balls for fun stability workout and partner training. Through mat work, we learn to activate the transverse abdominal and the pelvic floor (these deep muscles are key to enabling healthy posture). We also work on strengthening the legs, buttocks and arms. And we always end with relaxation (sometimes even a mum & daughter massage treat)!
