Rebalancing the hamstrings
The hamstrings are probably three of the most important muscles that determine our alignment. Most of us suffer from inbalnaces in this muscle group (if your feet naturally turn in the outter most hamstrings are usually tight, and if they turn out the inside hamstrings are tight). Inbalance in the hamstrings leads to a pelvis that doesn't quite 'find its place' ontop of the legs and feet that compensate for weight bearing with tension in the ankle and foot muscles. Hamstring inbalance also resonates up the spine and has an effect with how we expereince our back and our neck.
In this workshop we explore the location of the hamstrings using both our hands and through stretches. We learn excersies to help rebalance these muscles. We briefly touch upon the pelvis and its role in alignment.
One of my mentors for this workshop is Susan Klein who I first worked with 12 years ago.
No previous movement experience needed. Curiousity about movement is a plus. ;)
