Somatic Yoga - training to enable self-practice

Classes are geared towards people with some yoga experience.

Course objectives 
- To train participants to practice Somatic Yoga
- To provide injury prevention techniques for a healthy practice
- To enable participants to learn a routine for self-practice

Requirements for participation 
- Good general health condition
- Enrolling for the entire course
- A minimum of 6 months experience with any yoga style is required (or equivalent movement experience). If unsure contact me.

Course Outline 
The course includes training in
- Injury prevention technique
- Information on the Zen Energy Lines which are being activated in each asana (pose)
- Information on which asanas can be utilized to improve a number of health conditions (indigestion, insomnia, infertility; migraines and more)
- Detailed analysis on the use of specific muscle groups in each asana

Training Schedule 
Week 1: Breathing technique, anatomy awareness: theoretical and experimential (skeletal and muscular). Sun salutations. 
Week 2: Standing asanas
Week 3: Standing asanas cont.
Week 4: The warriors 
Week 5: Recapitulation and Seated asanas 
Week 6: Seated asanas cont.
Week 7: Inversion and closing asanas
Week 8: Recapitulation and guided self-practice.
